From doctor to author:

‘Doc’ Martenson is a retired Pediatrician who was in practice for over 34 years. After finishing his pediatric training, ‘Doc’ went back to his home town to serve his community in pediatrics. ‘Doc’ still lives in his boyhood rural town in Massachusetts with his wife, two married children and two granddaughters. He was a premature baby and came down with Polio at age 4. As a result of these experiences, he felt a lifelong urge that made him want to take care of babies and children. His specialty in Pediatrics led to a sub-specialty in Neonatal Medicine, the care of premature babies, which was his love. Newborns, whether or not they’re premature, are very special. Giving guidance and caring for children was an awesome responsibility that gave him joy.
